What does Certified mean?

To understand what it means to be certified, we first need to know what the word Certified Hazardous Materialscertify means, which is “officially recognize (someone or something) as possessing certain qualifications or meeting certain standards.” The word certified means that someone or something has earned a certification in a desired field and in this case, can certify a hazardous materials or dangerous goods shipment. As a certified hazardous materials shipper, we can assist companies in shipping hazardous materials and dangerous goods.

Can anyone be Certified?

The short answer to that question is yes, but there is more to it. You can take a training course and get certified in a variety of things, but does that make you competent? Having learning materials, hands on training, and experience will benefit a certified shipper in getting their hazmat and DG packages safely and successfully shipped. Hazardous material regulations are complicated though, and come with high level of risk and liability. If you’re trying to ship a hazmat package to another state, country or across the globe, consider the assistance of a certified company that successfully ships daily.
